My favourite bird. These guys will always glide over you and take a good look at you as you approach any of the sites where they are found. They have no aggression and are simply curious. I'm sure they also do this to show off! |

Never seen anything like this before in my life and I wouldn't have expected to see this in Orkney! I had just pulled up at Noltland Castle with 1 Guest on board when we both saw this. My Guest was from the USA and calmly told me 'that is a water spout!' |

Primula Scotica or Scottish Primrose, which flowers at Aikerness each May and July. This shot was taken during it's first bloom, last year. They appeared again in the last 10 days. I counted 15 on 7th June. |

Noup Head Lighthouse. Tens of thousands of seabirds spend the Summer on these cliffs. Right now, there are many Guillemot, Razorbill and Kittiwake and Gannets. |
